STORYTELLING FROM THE CANALS OF AMSTERDAM.
Amsterdam is full of stories of exploration at every street corner, just looking up at the architecture in the old quarter you see the winches that lead to storage warehouses and the hidden windows where traders and ‘Dammers' would have watched the canals full of conversation and tales of travel.
Working with Gall & Gall we created a new brand from scratch that could capture this spirit of the canals and give the products heritage and sense of place. So we decided to create a story that lived in the roof tops of Amsterdam, a secret spot where traders would meet to converse in a private bar full of objects of desire and spices to be sold from around the world over a glass of the finest tipple.
The design language brings this story to life using the architectural rooftops of Amsterdam, the winches that lift the goods and the Parrots that flew free from the open cage in the bar.
With all the design elements and holding devices in place we could then start developing ranges of gins and vodkas that used exotic spices and fruits with all the stories that accompany them. These then opened the door to create a new range of 0% alc. products that would sit boldly on shelf and online.
